My Christmas present

As a Christmas present, I had asked my parents to go for a play in the Theatre of Thalia, in Budapest. We watched the play called Ördöglakat, which English title is Sleuth. This is an exciting crime story written by Anthony Shaffer in 1970 and it already has got two film adaptations. The plot is about a writer of detective books, Andrew Wyke who invites the mistress of his ex-wife, Milo Tindle to his castle to Wiltshire in order to offer a great deal for the young man. Tindle accepts it and an interesting ’game’ begins to emerge between the two men, in which the audience never know what things are just a part of the game or what things are happening for real. However, it is not a usual play because there are only a few characters, but they are so changeable and they also show various reactions of the human nature. In my opinion it is worth to see it, because the famous Hungarian actors János Gálvölgyi and Sándor Nagy are fantastic in their roles and their performance really deserves attention.
